Hi Dmfaust, Just to say that the 'fall of dial-up' you speak of is not dead quite yet...at least in the company I'm working for. We have a lot of remote sites with no chance of ever getting BB or a Government VPN connection etc...The ordinary dialup has been replaced (in the most part) by ISDN dialup. I will concede that dialup, in general, is almost dead but for these remote sites, with no direct access to our network, it's the only way they can communicate. Also I have been told that trying to source good quality ISDN modems it getting harder. We have a brand that works & tried a different one which just gave the PC a BSOD. But trying to source, price & buy ISDN modems of the brand we use IS getting harder. Who uses ISDN nowadays? A lot still do PS: I think South Park is cool too Regards, |

Is parts of this meant to be black and white? It looks like it could be an intentional effect, but I'm not sure, it just doesn't fit very well. |

at some point it turns into a black and white show for quite a while, is that normal? to me it looks like it was capped from a vhs... strange quality compared to the usual caps |

3 posts up. :/ Black and white was intended. I can't cite a specific parody it is of, but at least something like a general Great Depression era nod. (IE: The taking the lack of internet too seriously.) |

Hi guys, I just watched this ep & it seemed fine to me. There were no video issues as some had mentioned earlier. It was a good ep I have to say...& somehow poignant too...if in a twisted kind of way lol. As for the monochrome scene & the reference to 'The Grapes of Wrath' film....God... When I was sixteen or so in religion class in school we had to watch that film. It took two classes to watch it as it must be two or so hours long. I have never seen a more depressing film to this day & have never watched it again. You can read the IMDB review of that film at the link below if interested: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0032551/ Regards, |
