It's as though the previous writing staff and director were relocated by WitSec and a competent crew was hired. A little corny and not unpredictable but a far, far better episode than the first one. Now if we could only be spared the dreck of her personal life. A little too much soap opera. |

I'm not really sure that I'm overly into this (the first episode was very confused as to what it was trying to say about women in positions like this, I couldn't tell if it was trying to make a statement or just being hypocritical for the sake of it) but I am certainly interested to see where it goes in terms of character. Thanks for posting. |

Mary McCormack was on Howard Stern and said that the pilot episode was actually shot some time ago, before she got pregnant (or just after but before she was showing). The remainder of the season was shot after she gave birth (2nd episode was about 8 weeks after). So it is very likely that at least some of the production crew was changed. But she also acknowledged the first episode wasn't so good (at least in comparison to the rest), that the second was better and that the cast/crew really found their rhythm by the 3rd or 4th episode (or words to that effect). |

Some shows need some getting used to. Unless they're really bad and there's no character or actor you like. And this one wasn't that bad. There are much worse shows (Dirt, Criminal Minds, etc). I'll keep watching because it's the kind of show that could have some very good stories. And I've read in various places that episode 4 is really good. But I agree that they should forget about the family drama. It's unwatchable. |
