Alicia Witt's character was just temporary while Julianne Nicholson was out on maternity leave. She may guest star in one or two future episodes since she did happen to mention in a recent interview that the producers had asked her to stick around for the remainder of season 7. She definitely wont be in season 8, though. |

The cameo in the middle (?) of the show caught me by surprise. That character seemed pretty wooden compared to Noth and his partner. |
