How are people playing this? VLC stumbles. Video inspector says I need Mpeg4 ISO adv and Dolby AC3 codecs. Any quick advice? It's a while since I've been to codec-land. I usually rely on VLC playing everything but I quite fancy watching the 720p version for once. Grateful if you can help. |

In the future, can files using .mkv be noted somewhere, either in the filename that appears on the list or as the first comment when it's posted? It's a problematic format for many. Esp Mac users. If VLC doesn't open it straight out of the box (and gods knows it opens damn near everything), then I think that's a fair test whether or not nonstandard filetypes should be noted. Thanks for considering! |

Sorry not going to happen. 720p are always .mkv. That is indication enough. also when you load the file in your torrent client you see the full name with the type of the file. If you use RSS you can filter them out. |

Out of curiosity, why are hirez ones always .mkv? And/Or, is it something specific to 720p? And, why do many filenames have the filetype, yet here it's a big deal? Or in the comments? I caught it before downloading any, but thinking of others. |

This question is already answered in the HELP thread so go look there. In any event it does not change the fact that the Scene releases HD in this format. And this is not going to change. I suggest all accept this fact of life. If you are not able to use them stick with the regular version that is provided. |

I would prefer the avi, divx ot xvid. After dloading this episode, I had trouble with so called read anything players. The audio was fine but not sync'd with the video. I've been with this site for over a year and this is the first mkv that i've come across. PLEASE MARK THE FILENAME AS MKV |

It was marked as x264...therefore clearly not DivX or XviD! Mkvs have been on this site for a loooong time, if you haven't come across one you must not have used it particularly heavily. You only had to look TWO lines down to find the Xvid avi version. I suggest you simply open your eyes when downloading next. Were you not slightly surprised to be downloading a 745mb rip of a 25~min show? The nerve of some people to complain on this site when their problems are brought about by their own ignorance and stupidity. |

Dudes, with respect, chill. I was VERY careful to ask, not whine or demand. I was just curious. Even stated, it's no biggie since I'm kewl w/ the lower-rez ones. Jeezus. I don't think anyone was wailing or bitching. If you don't like questions asked then why have freaken discussion forums? Shut 'em down! If the question comes up a lot (have no idea but you seem on the edge so...) then maybe it's a problem that can be addressed differently than amping out everyone someone asks about it? Ya think? Anyways, thanks so much for the work you guys do here, DEFINITELY appreciate all the hard work. |
