Is it just me or does this episode shimmer a bit? It does for me, at least, in
VLC.

I wonder that too - it seems that the grain is turned too high up during
encoding. When I send the output to my tele - it shimmers all over the place.

just wondering... why do you keep tagging this episodes as 6th season even if
they are from the 5th season?? (there is no 6th season!! :-))

I'm confused too. This does look like it should be season 5 BUT i've just seen
season 5 for sale on DVD. Have they released the DVD before it's aired on TV or
are they not airing season 5 and have just jumped to season 6 for TV!?

In America they showed half of S4 and then had a break in Summer and showed
the 2nd half after Summer. England saw the first half of S4 and released this
as S4, then when the 2nd half came out they released it as S5.

Basically S6 in England is S5 in American, hopefully they'll realise the error
and edit in in future and not repeat the mistake oterwise they'll get further
apart

Ah, Thank you. That explains it!
I'd not noticed that my season 4 DVD only has 13 episodes but epguides.com has
it at 27 episodes. That's a sneaky way to get more money off me! I did wait
until it was on sale though ;P

EDIT:
It may be the case that all future episodes will be labelled as per the UK
releases. If season 7 (UK) get's labelled as season 6 (US) then it will get
even more confusing when you take into account all the different tv/dvd rips
that will be available online.

Did the US DVD of season 4 have the full 27 episodes?

EDIT2: Just thought to check on amazon.com and see that the UK season 5 DVD
should have been season 4 part 2. So they didn't really get any more money off
me, i'd have still had to buy two boxsets to get all 27 episodes!

even more confusing was that at the time, just after the break, the official FOX
website contradicted the official Family Guy website in episode listings.. (I
don't remember which one said it was a new season, but you get the idea).

when you have two official sources contradict eachother, thats when the
fun really starts to happen...
technically that makes neither numbering scheme "wrong"...

the same thing happened with American Dad.. and so we get the same question
about it all the time too...
