By all accounts he was a good man, exceptionally nice and generous to fans, and
a great actor. The industry needs more like him, and it is sad news indeed that
he has passed.

I will miss him dearly. I enjoyed him already in Twin Peaks and of course
especially in SG-1.

Yeah I've been rewatching X-Files and had forgotten he was Scully's father. I
think he got typecast a bit, but any ep that had him was better for it.

Damn, I liked this guy. I even remember him in those John West tuna commercials
from years ago.

Didn't realise he was an academic too, well accomplished.

I echo the sentiments above. I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear of his
passing yesterday. He was a great actor but beyond that and most importantly, he
was a great man.

My utmost condolences to his family and friends.

A Master's in theater? A PhD? Wow, I wish I could have known more about him.
Who ever heard of a PhD in theater. What an amazing man. And nice, too.
Imagine being accomplished, sane, open and giving. A most unfortunate loss. R.I.P.

It's a good thing you only misspelled mispronunciation, as opposed to
mispronouncing it itself.
