The Mentalist tells the tale of Patrick Jane who is employed as an independent
detective working with the California Bureau of Investigation to solve crimes.
He has refined his observations skills to a near perfect level and lends these
skills to the CBI to help them solve cases. The team that he works with consists
of the senior agent, Teresa Gibson, agents Kimball Cho & Wayne Rigsby and the
rookie, Grace Van Pelt.

Before everyone says it, this is NOT a bad copy of Psych. The pilot is worth
watching.

cant see this surviving if the pilot is the norm, it is just boring, with
characters you dont give a toss about. i watched it but if i never saw another
episode it wouldnt worry me

Better than sounded.

Tension between actors.
Humor and long term plot.

There is just too many CSI shows already, don't know can people still get
excited about the same thing again and again.
