The PS3 can and will play these files, if you google for "mkv2vob" and just run the file through that. It doesn't reencode anything, just remuxes the file into a format the PS3 can play (.mp4 extension) I use it all the time, plays fine. Thanks very much indeed for the 720p version Vin. |

the1freeman: Last I heard, there were two ways. The first was to put the .mkv into something like a .vob or MPEG2 stream without re-encoding anything. The second was to demux both the video and audio, convert the audio to AAC, use h264info to change the level to 4.1 of the raw video, then mux them all back together into a .mp4 file (Yamb is recommended). Oh yeah, I forgot the 3rd way. You can use a transcoding program to transcode on-the-fly, I think TVersity can do that. [Links not allowed] Oddly enough, I'm having trouble finding a guide on the h264info method. TVersity should be easy enough to find with Google. Since I left the AC3 to AAC conversion vague, I recommend looking up the methods on preserving the 5.1 audio of the AC3. I've used megui for that, but I'm sure other programs can do it since megui is a GUI! Good luck! EDIT: It looks like Vin beat me to the punch. =P Since you're using the VOB method, would it be alright if I asked you a question? Is it true that the audio gets out of sync when you skip around? |

Vin, MrMann, thanx for the info. I gather you own a PS3, so let me ask you another question: can the low-price (500$) PS3 play bluray discs in full HD (1080p)? I'm not a complete idiot, I did look this up on different sites, but they all seem to say different things. Some say they do, some say they don't. One says they don't, but only because the hdmi cable isn't included in the 500$ pack, but you can buy it seperately, and then it does. Another one says that they originally didn't, but there was a firmware upgrade that fixed that. So, which one is correct? The reason I'm asking, is because I want the buy a PS3 mainly for it's bluray player (the price of a bluray player and a PS3 is not much different where I live so I figured this way I'd get a game console too video in full HD, then I'll buy a stand-alone bluray player. |

the1freeman: Every PS3 can play Blu-Ray discs in full 1080p HD, as long as you have an HDMI cable and a TV that supports full HD. |

Hi everybody. I'm spanish and i have to see all the shows with subtitles (i'm sorry, my english isn't good enough). Usually it doesn't take a long time to obtain them, but sometimes yes and i would like to know if exists the possibility that the people who make the releases can capture the subtitles channel at the same time they capture audio and video channels and release the "all in one" file. MKV files allow integrated subtitles so i hope its not a big deal. Thank You!! admin : please read the FAQ, EZTV has no contact with the people doing the capping and no influence. And what you request, I know by experience is not going to happen. And I feel for you as Wikisubtitles was taken down a while ago and never came back. Shooter has English ones quickly and if you go to our FAQ and to to the subtitle site list we have instructions on how to navigate this site in China. |

Thank you admin. I knew that you have no contact but I thought that maybe they could read my post. I really don't understand why they can't do this, but i respect, of sure. Thank you for your advices for the subtitles sites, you are very kind. admin : the people that cap will NEVER come here and read anything. Actually they are not keen toward us as they do not release for sites like this one. And in their community they do not have any need for subtitles so no interest in doing them. So I doubt VERY much that they will do it, albeit for a short time SGA 720p had subs in the .mkv files but of not so good quality and with sync problems. But was short lived. |

The audio is messed up on this. The dialogue is barely audible, while the music and sound effects are normal. Also, there ARE problems when you skip and the sound DOES get out of sync. Don't download, look for another file. admin : you have the wrong setup and/or running on a crappy computer. Do not give advice when you do not know what you are talking about. |
