Why is a repack necessary?

EDIT: Okay, found it in the original episode - audio is out of sync for 75 seconds.

guys I keep getting tracker error from every torrent from the pirate bay tracker
(can't even look on the bay's website, it's down!)!
Is there some other tracker or fix?

admin : TPB is fine your ISP is blocking it. Use uTorrent, have DHT on and be
patient it will connect to the swarm but can take some time.

thx admin, I figured out, it was my provider blocking TPB, using OpenDNS the
problem is solved.
Thank you anyway, keep rockin'.

Aired 22.09.2008
2 [Non-Segmented] pass x264

No idea how something goes oos for 75 seconds,
but it did (roughly 25:15 - 26:30.) This
fixes that. Our apologies.

Enjoy

Dumb n00b question but can this file play on an Xbox 360? I stream all my
content to the 360.

Thanks

yup 720p repacks are unusual.

[bangs head on desk repeatedly] Why didn't I just read just a little bit further
up the page and the comments about it before getting 470MB of the first version!
:-/ It's not like it wasn't there to see!

Thanks for the repack with (hopefully, since I haven't downloaded it yet) nice
sync'd audio.

yeppa: I had a few issues getting onto TPB website earlier as well. Don't think
it was my ISP though (although who knows, maybe it was), since it seems to have
fixed itself now without me changing anything, or even restarting anything.

The reason a lot of people cannot see the difference in HD releases is because
the have not had their HD tv's calibrated. After you buy an HD TV you need to
have a professional tech come out & calibate all the settings, in essence
custominzing & maximizing it for your situation. Around here it costs from $250
to $300 or more for the service, & you CAN definitely see the difference after.
Most times, if you don't have this done, you are wasing your money as you will
not get the HD that you paid for. You can download 2 of the proggies the
professionals use for this, I did, but after looking them over it was way too
complicated & involved for me, ugh. So the next time someone says they cannot
see any difference on their 47? inch HD tv, just ask them if they have had it
professionally calibrated yet. Nothing wrong with their eyes. Anyways, I always
wait a day to download tv shows, & always/usually end up getting the repacks if
there are any.

Calibrate, calibrate, calibrate!!! Get the most out of your HDTV!

Surely a HDTV can display a hd program right out of the box, up to the
resolution of the screen? Shipping a tv that needs a professional to set it up
so you can see things in hd just sounds odd. Yes, I'd guess the tech could
optimise brightness/contrast/colour settings depending on your lighting
conditions, but surely if you throw a full hd signal at a hdtv you should at
least be able to pick out all the fine detail with it, even if the colour, etc,
settings are not optimised? It's not like a crt tv where if it's blurry there
was generally nothing you could do about it.

Why do I say that? Simple: you don't need to get a techie in to service your
shiny new hd lcd computer monitor to get the full detail level out of it. The
factory default still allows you to get a sharp detailed image at the full
screen resolution, as long as your OS/game/etc is set to the correct resolution
and colour depth. The auto adjust should take care of the image
sizing/positioning settings (sometimes you've got to hit the auto button again)
and the only things you really need to worry about are brightness, contrast, and
colour settings to your taste.

I guess I'm also looking from a techie's/geek's perspective and I figure I'd
likely mess with the settings myself until I was happy.
