Many thanks.

Love this show! It's trashy, but it's stylish, smart trash!

I LOVE this show!
It, and Fringe are the best new tv shows that have come around in a while.
Sookie (and bill) are super hot!

Has anyone read the novels the show is based on?

Great show. But did the new season of Dexter not start today?

Dexter 3x01 has been up for a while. I think it was ripped from the
Brotherhood DVD that came out a month or two ago.

Yeah, I've read them all. They are good. Hopefully the show will be as good as
the books. So far it hasn't disappointed.

Regarding Fringe, can't really agree. I think it's lousy.

But then, I thought the latest X-Files movie was great, with some wonderful, realistic character
development. Fringe reminds me too much of Heroes with its implausibility, junk science and bad writing.
Each to their own.

BUT, back on topic... without going in to spoilers, how closely does True Blood follow the books? If I read
the books will I be totally spoiled for what's to come in the tv series?

Very closely so far, so yes. Although it is hard to say after only 4 episodes, I
get the impression that it will mostly spoil the scenes with Sookie in it. The
novels are all from her perspective and Alan Ball adds scenes without her.

So far they are doing a good job following the book.

Anna is doing a great job as Sookie, its just as I pictured her to be.

Other characters have a greater role than the book(s) (Tara, Jason, Lafayette),
but so far it hasnt spoiled (too much) the flavor of the first book.

Only 4 eps in so far, and am very curious to see where the season ends up.

Read the books they are good!
