| What the fuck is up with this aspect ratio? It's 4:3 instead of 16:9. | |||||

Wish I was home to get it but stuck at work BTW for those TAR fans out there TAR Asia 3rd season just started as well. Just search "amazing race asia" in mininova. A double dose of TAR a week And it's just as good as the american one as well IMO, it's all in english as well. |

Yeah I have watched the first 3 Episodes of the TAR Asia and have enjoyed it as much as the american one. All the same elements but i think a few harder tasks and journeys! Esp an eating challenge straight up and 23 hr bus journey in vietnam. Also that Geoff is a real tool! Worth a watch to see him carry on like a pork chop. |

Most of the tasks in TARA are repeated from previous seasons. I'm sure there's been an eating task in all 3 seasons, and it's usually in BKK that they have it. That geoff guy is a real tool, gotta agree with that, but Tisha is damn fine. I enjoy watching The Amazing Race Asia, but it definately doesn;t compare to the original. We need a TAR-Europe. |

yeah dont get me wrong i love the original to, but they had an eating test in episode 1 and looks like another eating challenge in ep 4 coming up. Thats more than any americans or myself ( aussie ) could ever muster up the courage to do. I do enjoy how the contestants on TAR Asia compare to USA. What they need to do for this and Survivor is do an International one. Now wouldnt that be awesome? I am suprised that they havent tried an international one with people all over the world. Would be a very interesting dynamic |

What? Since when was TAR ever in 16:9... The new Season of Survivor is now in widescreen. The Amazing Race is only good with American's in it. Watching them scratching their heads trying to pronounce something like Reykjavik is hilarious. Their lack of worldliness & over confidence/arrogance makes for fun viewing... ie paraphrased version: 'Doesn't anyone speak English here? Stupid people''... lol priceless. |

I dont disagree, they certainly pick from sterotypical demographics but in addition to the US season, why not go international with a mixed bag. They tried US families and for me that was a disaster, watching households cave in on themselves and trying to listen to a family of americans all talking at once, was freaking annoying. I just watched the first TAR America and this season theres no one i remotely even like thus far. Usually i can barrack for someone |

Yeah Amazing Race Asia is definately making the race alot harder for their contestants. The long racing is definately different from the American concept of allowing the teams to bundle up at certain points during the first leg so they can converse and get to know one another. The US version definately goes more into the relationships and team rivalries. I'm always waiting for some funny nicknames to pop up in the first or second ep. Did anyone watch the Amazing Race Asia "Racers Revealed" episode? That Kent and Vixen team from season 12 of TAR applied, part of their audition video was shown. I guess an International version of the show we all love wouldn;t be plausable due to the tv rights. I was going to say it would be a tough job casting, but then it wouldn;t be as tough as planning the actual race itself. They need to do an international version, even if half of the teams are American, it would stil be a good concept to see. |
