I thinkl you missed the main point which was not to include spoilers in your post, never mind how they are spelled. |

| It was a terrible story line though. It was one of the worst Stargate Episodes of all time (any series). | |||||

I hardly think talking about a sand devil is a spoiler. There was no biblical scene. Showing a guy in a catholic priest uniform and church is hardly a biblical scene. |

guyz, my posting a spoiler was probably a mistake, even though I've seen people talking about episodes on this forum. but since a spoiler is a spoiler however you look at it - for that I honestly apologize. as for the biblical part..... c'mooon !!! guy in the desert that was seing things (bad-ish things). don't we know of someone walking in the desert about 2000 years ago..... ok maybe it is not such a good analogy but I only made the connection because I thaught they were going to make a big deal (in the show) out of the whole Jesus in the desert story - wich I think is cheap - bringing religion into scifi. |

I so want to love this show, but damn are they making it hard! The opening double episode was a disappointment to say the least, but I still thought it might just take a few shows to hit its stride... Episode 3 was just terrible!! The worst in any SG series ever! I now think they've got only 1 strike left before I'm done with hoping it will get better. |

I second that. I am a true Stargate fan and find it quite hard to get into SG:U. At this point, I sincerely hope that the network suits grant a full season. I also hope the authors know where they are actually going to. |

I am also a 110% SG fan But The new SG-U Is taking some aclimatising to Mainly because of its slowness and the total lack of a story. So far what do we know They found a base "icerus" that was capable of dialing the 9th cheveron. Im sorry to say that there seams to be more legs to the story that has been left behind on that base and to why and who attacked it but that was SG1 which is dead and gone,, But more than is going to happen onbord the ship. As i was saying so far its a push for control of the Mission. "what Mission"" I dont know" because in the Full Montys words this could be the most significant find by the human race Yes so what How would you ever get all the data and techknolage back for one...Alos in tha last episode Was the wind suposed to be a spirt that was on the planet and helped him find the lime I mean a wisp of wind that goes round looking for moisture only to see a dieing man then deposit it all in front of him so he could find lime Has the story writer just run out of time or are they farming it out for school kids to write with no imagination. It might help If there was a couple of aiencients on the ship but had now acended and they was to be brought into the story line Because I belive it does need somthing and quick or it might go the same way as quite a few shows have gone this summer and get a early shelving. what say you all? One factor i can still grasp at is that the SGA had almost written the next season and WE could all hope if anything happens to cut short SG-U that SGA could be revived???? pleassssssssssssssssssssssssssssss Andy And i mus add before i get slated and ridicueled My grammer or my spelling might be bad or even atroshosh But at least everyone that reads what i put cane see what i mean Can they not.... And sorry for babbleing on |

I don't know what show you were watching tachy. If you paid attention to the story you would know that the guy was his priest from his youth. He was seeing things being dehydrated and exhausted, getting flashbacks to his youth/past. You can also infer some Stargate SG-1 episode flashback references regarding the "guide" in this episode. |

that ep started feeling very much like defying gravity, ie paper thin plot, tacky inconsequential emo drama and lame music to wrap up. |

brygdom, I would have agreed with you on the dehydration part if it wasn't for the priest turning into the whispy, whindy, swirly thing at the end of the vision. and yes i know the priest is from his past an raised him, the guy was about to became a priest himself but had doubtes - therfore my previous statement about religion - doubt brought by an apparition to someone in the dessert...... hallucination or not what i think it was really stupid was the guy giving wather to the thing. if he saw the thing consuming the wather that they threw after testing the sand for lime it would have made some sense. STARGATE BARTER: bar of chocolate = hot wife (SG1 Daniel Jackson gets Sharee or what's her name) few drops of whater = lime ( the i can breathe so good now kind not the: we are doomed there is no lime for the tequila shots kind - that will be probably covered in another episode) over the next three episodes i predict a transporter incident..... sorry an insect bite. *maybe the writers were affwcted by the lack of oxigen as well, who knows now that the CO2 scrubbers are fixed they'll give us better stories.... |

Let me understand something...to dial from earth to the ship they needed a huge amount of energy, if I recall correctly. So how they can dial from the middle of the desert? Is that stargate powered by sand? Man, this show is so bad... |

I have The feeling, that SGU is going to be a sleeper hit , like what do we expect,to repeat the previous first episodes of SG1 and SGA arrive on a planet and show how smart we are etc. It had to be different,or it will become a parody and we do not want that, please give the show a chance ......... PS I love the inclusion of communication stones from SG1 8 season episodes Avalon 1 & 2 !!!!!!!! |
