i wish ppl would stop comparing this (and defying gravity) to lost. just because there is a damn flash back or forward does not instantly mean it's a lost clone. |

I believe it is because in 1 press conference ABC called it a "successor to Lost" What they ment was, it was going to be a huge blockbuster that would take Lost's place on the schedule once the final series has ended but people assumed that because some of the cast were from Lost it was going to be linked somehow and I agree it has been taken a bit too far now! |

I read and liked the book Flashforward back when it came out ('99) and though the abc show is only loosely based on it, I had hoped it would be a little more science based than it is (maybe it will become more so). It seems like a trend for tv shows with a big, singular premise to get mired in character related 'soap- opera' rather than let the plot's narrative arc define the characters. (don't even get me started on Defying Gravity) |

its not all Lost, but at the end of the episode the cliffhanger thing that makes your heartrace as episode is ending, taken directly from that episode style.
Anyway lets hope that they plot out some things so it feels like its getting somewhere |

Well I never saw any reviews or anything. Just started watching it and am getting to like it. Especially the fact that people are starting to use the flash forwards as a way to help (diagnosing patient) instead of viewing them as a hindrance. |
