or the 25fps PAL speedup."

Thanks for posting this proper version in glorious CTV-rip quality. I don't trust anything off
Australian TV (and I live here) as they regularly cut scenes to make room for more adds, etc. Plus
the groups doing the conversions to AVI don't always know what they are doing. The Underbelly rips
were a real mixed bag.

I agree, the rip from a few days ago was terrible, it wouldn't play but a minute 39 seconds on my
XBOX 360.

Well I didn't DL the local one I just recorded it myself (and made an avi copy)

I know they can be bad sometimes but I don't think anything was cut from the one that aired on Seven
Monday night. Can anyone confirm this?

Checking the total time for each, the Australian one is 1:23 shorter and the subs don't match. So
yes, the Australian broadcaster edited it. That'd really annoy me if I had to really on that
broadcaster for my TV!!!

Could the local one be short because of the different frame rates?

Could be...but someone else said they sometimes edit the shows to insert more ads. In any case, if
you are enjoying the show and want a good quality episode, the PROPER is the one to get.

I read today that FlashForward won't be screening again until March, 2010. That sux when they do
that! Not only that, but the ratings are dropping fast and this episode is the lowest ranked one. So
there is always a possibility that the original 25 episode order is reduced. They better finish the
story! I am enjoying this season.

That's a recurring problem from almost all BWB releases and those of one of the other groups
(2xx?).... incorrect headers make it unplayable on most external dvd players (inc. xbox). Can be
fixed with a simple header editor w/o re-encoding but BWB don't consider it an issue (despite being
propered as a result a few times)?.

I still don't get how some can't get it right, don't they check their feedback to fix problems in
the encoding? I make a lot of avi's from TV recordings but don't have the bandwidth to upload them
and they all work fine for me and I'm not doing anything special.

Stoopid question - what is "ABC framerape"? Is that a typo for framerate, or some nefarious practice
of ABC's that doesn't happen on CTV?

Different countries have different standards and the number of frames per second is one of them,
depending on the encoding method this frame rate can change the total time of a recording.
