I had the opposite feeling after watching the first two episodes. When I heard about the show, I thought it was a cool concept, after watching, it's clear that the writers think the only way to succeed is by lying, cheating and doing illegal shit. Too bad. Out of all the amazing stories you could tell about success (and failure) in this country, they chose such a tired theme. |

Rome pissed me off. I watched the first season and completely lost my appetite for the series upon viewing the last episode of the first season. The show went from being an interesting period drama to seeming like it was written by a high schooler. What's her name's suicide was nothing but convenient to carrying on the plotline--it was COMPLETELY outside of her character and an utterly, utterly lame development. |
