Seven strangers wake up in a seemingly empty small town where they are under constant electronic surveillance. Implants keep them from leaving the town borders, and they have no choice but to figure out why they were abducted and what ties them together. Meanwhile, a reporter tries to locate one of the missing persons. Hmm... the Prisoner meets Lost? |

another show that drops a bunch of random strangers in the middle of no where, gives you 50 questions and no answers. the production value is far less than lost. acting was meh. sure to be a hit |

Heh, I was gonna reply "Aw, not another reality show!" But then I saw the Lost comment above, and gotta switch gears. Lost absolutely freaking dropped the ball and turned into make-it-up-as-you-go, fake-mysteries-with-no-answers crap, with the most ludicrous ending in history. If the people behind this new show actually try to do what the guys behind Lost PRETENDED to do for six years, I'll be right there with bells on. |

After watching I have to say its pretty good. I didn't see anything that reminded me of lost besides the (where are we factor). Other than that it was a little creepy at times, acting was ok like someone else pointed out. I give the pilot a 7/10, I'll keep watching. |

Pilot Summary: Here is the low down for this interested in the pilot: Seven strangers wake up in a seemingly empty small town where they are under constant electronic surveillance. Implants keep them from leaving the town borders, and they have no choice but to figure out why they were abducted and what ties them together. Meanwhile, a reporter tries to locate one of the missing persons. Taken From: http://tvrage.com/Persons_Unknown/episodes/1064868121/1x01 Here is more information about the show which can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persons_Unknown It doesn't provide much more detail except about the cast and the characters they play and provides some basic background information about each character. But a ghost town? Hmmmm, maybe if they keep it to just a Summer show, a one time thing like Harper's Island, 13 parts and we're done would be fine and even really good, simply keep it to a Mini Series Run and end it. But lets hope that it ends better then Harper's did, because finale for that show sucked! I think they were hoping for a second run and left so much unanswered when it ended which took that show from being a good one to crap just because they totally gave us a crap ending to the show. We can only hope. I will check this out out of curiosity and post more about what I think about it later. |

I think im going to be attached to this show, even though it is sort of cliche' now, its like big brother meets the prisoner meets lost and it did made me also think of cube as mentioned, like everyones skill sets have to do with something |

Same here. Acting was average Another attempt at stuff like Lost and FF except one big massive giveaway in the first episode and that is It's not actually a ghost town if you look properly, it's been purposely built that way, look at the size and shape of it as well how the bitumen road comes to a sudden end Why does the Marine refer to the main male character (can not think of his name atm it's the one that started the fire with the broken bits of furniture) as Sir but to all others he does not. This will fail but the only thing that will keep it alive is peoples curiosity on where it's going What they should be doing is taking the money they spending on this stuff and revitalize shows like Journeyman and so on. |

That Wikipedia page lists Alan Ruck at the top of the cast list so for that reason alone this seems worth a look... thanks. |

Though I like Alan Ruck, and the Kidnapped Mom is a looker, hotter then the blonde they cast to play the single party girl, remember she was hung over, obviously drugged and drunk! acting was below average, story line contrived and as people have said a mixed mash taken from movies and story lines from other shows that were hardly put together well. I mean come on, how cheesey were some of the lines coming from the soldier / Army Guy, or was he a Marine? Lame, lines like " Keep your powder dry. " and " Sir, yes Sir. " when talking to a civilian? And even though younger, still a member of the Armed Forces who should of taken charge since they may be in a dangerous situation. Heck I would let him take point, and then we died find someone else. But Noooooo! Alan Ruck is Alan Ruck, he is always laid back and doesn't really act, he just roles with characters which are all pretty much the same in everything he plays, always typed cast for a role and well so, and does well. Hot Mom was an ok actress, seen her in other things, the mystery guy, obviously some sort of criminal since he won't talk about himself, his skill set, or who he is. They were the only people who acted well in the show to any real degree of what we could call acting. Lame lines, everyone thrown together and meeting to soon and in a lame, loosely written manner. The only thing interesting about the show was the appearance of the Chinese restaurant staff and night shift hotel manager. You could tell the restaurant owner and staff we nervous, yet the hotel manager not so much and giving them an odd answer as to how he came to be there saying he was used to it by now? Lame! You have to watch it to understand. But truly lame, though interesting to a small degree. Poorly written, the plot was very loosely written and so where some of the lines, yet some of the lines were also very lame and cheesey as I said. This could of been a decent show as the premise is ok, but they needed a much more effective and creative writing staff to make it work. I hope this is just a Summer run and they weren't banking on it becoming a show that spanned several or more seasons because right from the start the story line can't support it in any way unless you keep adding and adding and adding new characters to the cast. Which I am sure they are bound to add one or two here and there for various reasons. If you are looking for a show you can get into long term and expect to last a few seasons don't get into this one. Its far to lame I assure you. But if its just for some light, almost laughable entertainment then knock yourself out for a laugh or two. Just don't start whining when they cancel it or decide to rework it as Summer run show that becomes more like Harper's Island which I had commented about in my last post. 5 Star rating status, 2 and half stars, I'll give it a 3 star rating if you are just looking for a lame show you can laugh at the stupidity of its serious nature and lame lines so until later " Sir, Enjoy the lame ass show! Sir! " |

I think it tried a bit to hard to make it seem mysterious, with bringing in the Chinese restaurant staff and the night manager, and the weird mum of the kidnapped mum. Thought the fortune cookie scene was a bit rubbish as well, they could have made that a lot better. Also it's quite clear that the one pretending to be a councilor or whatever is a mental patient, and the slutty one who is likely supposed to be "the hot one", just really isn't all that hot. The basic idea is a good one, but I didn't really get into the show, I'll watch at least episode two and give it a chance, but I'm not expecting much. |

strange. Acting was meh, dialogue was appalling! At one point the marine grabs some guy pushes him up against the wall and tells him to "Keep your powder dry!" In response to a mini spaz attack the guys having. But will keep watching it and hoping it gets better. |
