Discovery Channel : Wings - Harrier

Description:

This episode will profile the Harrier, the revolutionary jet that hovers. With a camera mounted in
the cockpit Wings viewers will get the pilot's eye view of vertical landing amongst the trees aboard
an aircraft carrier. This program will examine the aircafts role in both the war between Britain and
Argentina over the Falkland Islands and the Gulf War. But mostly focuses on the view of the AV-8B in
the U.S. Marines used in the first Gulf war.

Funny thing though... The US Marines that got held up at Al Khafji right at the beginning of this
show... It was a British OP crew that lased the targets for US and British air support and British
Artillery so solving the problem. As usual, a good documentary, but leaving out the role that the
Brits played.
Even on the battle plan map they left out every other allied nation that took part... So sad that
the USA "THINK" that they have always won evewrything alone.

A10A... Best crew in the Battery!!! and very Shiney!!!

Some good American bashing there. It really is surprising that a doc that mostly "focuses on the view
of the AV-8B the U.S. Marines used in the first Gulf war" would focus on the American point of
view. /sarcasm
