Play these with VLC media player. Kind of tiring to hear everyone complain about these people's
excellent releases just because they can't figure out how to play them.

Agree with the above response. We pay good money to watch these shows on Media Players (V9-T, WD
Media Players etc) and now for some reason the last 3 episodes won't play and are "invalid files".
Any chimp can find a media player on their computer that will play the episode.

Why is it that lately IMMERSE releases of TB can't be played on the popular Media Players but
earlier episdoes of season 3 can? Its really frustrating, not to mention a waste of downloads.

Anyone know of any 720p episodes not by IMMERSE that can play on our media boxes?

Cheers.

The mkv files are now encoded using header compression.

http://www.matroska.org/news/compressed-headers.html

If your player cannot play the file, you need to approach the vendor for a firmware update to fix
the issue.

In the meantime you can re-mux the mkv and strip the compression so that it plays, which is what I
have to do.

Re-muxing takes about 1-2 mins.

Follow the instructions here.

Ok...
First off
There are other encoders that are encoding HD and doing it just fine by it. And by fine I mean that
it works across the greatest majority of players.

Second
Yes the .mkv files now have header compression encoded into them and that's all great, but why not
just strip that information out when making the files or just inform IMMERSE to change the way he is
creating his .mkv files so that it works with more player. The objective should not be to format the
files in the newest manor possible but to use the method that users can use the file most
effectively. Just because one player can play it should not make the encoding format viable. Seeing
how many users are using players that don't have the compressed header reading capacity as of yet,
encoding .mkv with header compression information should be discouraged.

Finally
I use four different players when output video files to my different media devices and I download
from this community because it has been a reliable source for good clean usable media files. With
these IMMERSE files I have to comment that the reliability is lacking.
For now until a real solution that does not in-tale me reconstructing .mkv media files so I can use
them I will just steer clear of IMMERSE and his uploads.
