In case anyone is curious about this - it's a new Australian show.

Cops L.A.C. is an 2010 Australian television police drama, which screens on the Nine Network. The
series follows the Local Area Command team, a specialist police force, led by Inspector Diane
Pappas. The first series will premiere on September 2, 2010, in the same timeslot of Network Ten's
police drama Rush

You must be joking.

This first episode is really bad. It doesn't come close to the worst ep of Rush or City Homicide. The plot
was very predictable, the acting mediocre, and the storyline insults the viewer.

I love Rush and CH, and was hoping COPS LAC would be as good but it's not even close.

Good news-- it can only get better. But will it.

I find both City Homicide and Cops L.A.C. to be poor from a police drama perspective; the balance more
towards soap opera and pretty people situations rather than police drama. (The most recent example
American-wise is Rookie Blue, which is an even more extreme example of those priorities.)

Rush is't flawless in that regard, but far superior IMHO when it comes to believable and relatable police
drama.

This is more a soapie than a cop show ... and was pretty crap at that too.
Rush is way better. or Flashpoint if you want something from the northern hemisphere

You all do realize that not all TV shows have to be docu-dramas and reality? Seriously do you really want
all TV shows to be exactly like real life? If so you might as well turn off the TV and go out side into the
world because if TV was exactly like that then that's all the entertainment you would need. TV is supposed
to be a Reality plausible or complete fictional concept done in an artistic and striking fashion to capture
attention and imagination.
And by the way Rookie Blue is not even an American show it's Canadian.

I'm Aussie and I concur this show sucks. Gary Sweet is a great actor, though, and was brilliant in Stingers
(another Aussie undercover cop drama).

Try "Rush" if you want a good Aussie cop drama.

This has to be the worst show that has ever been conjured, it looked like channel 9 wanted to try
and cash in on the success of 'City Homicide' channel 7 & 'Rush' channel 10, but failed miserably.
If I was Kate Ritchie I'd be embarrassed to be apart of such a crap project. I"M NOT SURPRISED IT'S
BEEN AXED Final 6 episodes of 13 will be shown later as double episodes to get rid of them.
Personally I don't know why they're bothering. There was also talk of releasing it to DVD but after
dismal ratings of fewer than 600000 after episode 4 it was scrapped. Back to the drawing board
channel 9, maybe come up with an original idea.........

i am a fan of rush and city homicide and thought to watch a couple of episodes of cops lac the story line
was a snore
