how long is this episode..?? if its only 45 mins, then 700 mb is too
big....usually its 350 mb....any idea when the 350 mb version will be out..??

It's a 60 min. episode, so there won't be a 350MB release...


My God, is that guy Frank annoying or what?!
Okay the guy has skills, but when you say that YOU know you have fire in

can someone please explain to me why these 60 min shows are released as 700 and
not 350. Is it better quality? if so what are the quality differences between
a 700 and a 350?

700 = 350 x 2 ..

generally, shows greater than 53min are 700mb using xvid. it's the scene rules,
always
been that way. you don't want 350mb for an hour long show, it'll end up more
pixelated than normal. you'll just have to live with downloading 350mb more.

Are you high? it is 60 minutes of **footage**. The show was 1 hour and a half
long i.e. 30 minutes of commercials were cut out. A 1 hour show is normally
about 40 minutes of footage and 20 minutes of commercials.

There is no way in hell the quality would be any good at 350. Furthermore the
show is 30 FPS not 24 FPS like most shows (reality TV is almost always shot on
video) so that makes it even harder to compress because of the 25% increase in
the number of frames. You would need 20% (only about 20% because less pixels
than 624 x 352) more bitrate VS a 24 to make it look as good.

And of course scene rules as mentioned already dictate going to 700 megs anyway

thanks for the responses, with the combination of it been 50% longer, 60 min not
40 min and 30 fps not 24 explains why 700 and not 350.

I noticed the audio (slightly) loosing it after the first commercial break, by
the second or third it really did deteriorate. Not sure if I\'m using the
right view (tried both WinDVD7 & MyTheatre) or not.
