National Geographic - Riddles of the Bible - Season 1 (2008) Information National Geographic - Riddles of the Bible - Season 1 Today, biblical archaeologists and scholars rub shoulders with scientists. They re all scouring the globe for the most elusive and controversial goal in biblical research, to find out whether or not the stories of the Bible are based on real events. Part 1: Noah - It is perhaps the best-known story in the Bible a righteous man named Noah, who built an ark and survived a flood. At first glance, it seems like a simple story but what happened or didn’t happen to Noah is raising questions: in geology, in astronomy, even in global imaging. They start with the most basic question of all: did it really happen? |

these programs are generally so stupid. Did noah's ark happen? Of course it fucking didn't. Why would you even waste a minute of time considering the possibility. We also know the origin of the legends that lead to the story, which i'm sure this won't go in to. It's just sad that these channels waste time on this shit, or looking for the lochness monster or ghosts or whatever. Instead of making actually quality, face based shows. |

Grinspoon, were you there during the time these events took "allegedly" place? Mabey you should comment on the quality of the torrent and leave your opinions to yourself....i don't think anyone cares what you have to say.... |

I think Grinspoon makes a valid point. OK he could have put it more tactfully but what he is saying is a fact: National Geographic. That is the name of the channel. Yet it frequently shows such trashy programs that it could be renamed to 'National Religious' or 'National Sensationalist' - I mean, why DO these channels continue to show these kinds of shows that are NOTHING to do with the geographic or cultural happenings of the planet and more about legends and myths? I am not trying to side with anyone or start a war, but I think you all were a bit harsh to judge Grinspoon here, he is after all correct in his view about the TV show and what it has become. |
