I'm with you there. Since season 2 the show has been much less about selling weed while still trying to be a "good person", and more about watching a irresponsible mother raise her bratty sons while making one stupid decision after another. |

I BEG TO DIFFER! Never posted before, but had to register to reply to these negative comments. I havent a bad thing to say of weeds. This show is a neverending story of amazing crazy adventure. For shame finding any fault with the first mainstream television show to openly address the moral issues surrounding marijuana use. For shame! On a purely artistic and not socio/political basis, I would argue that weeds has moved past the original basic plot design, evolving as most successful tv shows do, and has managed to maintain a cohesive plotline while continuing to be hilarious. If you don't like weeds, you must be 1. someone who has never smoked pot. 2. someone who is a complete tool and somehow cant recognize greatness when it blows smoke in your face. |

ha! I just registered too... however, you would be the tool if you can't admit this show fell off after the third season. Not to say that it totally sucks now, it's just not as good. Hit-or-miss episodes. I hope it comes full circle soon. I keep thinking it will. They've been on the run for too long, and the magic of this show was in the comedy-genre-section (which is where the pot smokers are.) Last season was well written, great acting, and an interesting story, but it was a damn soap-opera bore fest. Doug is the biggest reason I still watch the series. Give me more Doug, put Silas in college with some hot pot-smoking chicks, and give Nancy a house so she can grow some medical weed. |
