BBC - Robert Plant: By Myself (2010) Information Robert Plant: By Myself Documentary. Robert Plant discusses his musical journey from Stourbridge, the British blues boom, superstardom with Led Zeppelin in the 70s, to the Band of Joy album. He also looks at his work with The Honeydrippers and North African musicians, his reunion with Jimmy Page, and his pairing with Alison Krauss. Robert Plant has been performing and recording for more than 40 years. For 12 of those, he was the front man for what many still consider to be the greatest rock band ever - Led Zeppelin. BBC 2 presents a rare opportunity to hear what the man himself has to say about a life spent in music: from his earliest days as a school kid in Stourbridge to the world domination of Led Zeppelin, which ended when he was only 32 years old. The programme also looks at his triumphant solo career with bands such as The Strange Sensation and his startling collaboration with country singer Allison Krauss. |

There were three "Robert Plant" themed shows this weekend. I've downloaded all three, but not yet watched the "By Myself" show, probably watch that tonight? If the MVGroup or another group adds "BBC Electric Proms 2010 Robert Plant", then I'd thoroughly recommend seeing that show? Fantastic singing by Mr Plant and playing by The Band of Joy, later backed by the London Oriana Choir. The three programs were on BBC 2. The third program was "Robert Plant On Later" - a compilation of him performing on the "Jools Show" in studio performances, kicks off from 1993 onwards. |
