What's with all the noise in the background? Sounds like someone made an analog capture and recorded both line-in and microphone audio. Nice job, FQM.. I hope someone propers this. Or was the original audio really that bad? I doubt. |

I would rather have a bad audio version w.o any version. BTW...FQM is a more trusted name than Xor and LOL anymore. I hardly see FQM get nuked. Its quality over speed with them. F Fine Q Quality M materail |

where do you hear background sounds? Give me a time because i do not hear any. I do hear the production crew off screen talking and making noise but they are being picked up by the mic the singers are auditioning and singing into to when standing in front of the judges. geez i hope you are not so stupid as to not realize that lol What exactly do you hear? and when? ( i want to hear this myself and 120 minutes is too much to scan all the way through) Anyway, it is impossible to get line-in and mic sound since all the audio comes direct from a .ts file via HDTV feed. UPDATE I just ran the mp3 through a spectrum analyzer and there is NO hiss/hum/clicks/pops at all. The audio is super clean and the only background sound i heard is the production crew off screen being picked up by all the mics. I also heard a car beep its horn at one point. The episode was recorded in the city and they are using top notch mics for the singers so that is to be expected. I mean they are not goona sound proof a whole office building just for you lol |

FQM is nuked only 2 or 3 times **** A YEAR ***** Which means they are propered only a few times a year and in fact they have been only propered twice this season and BOTH times said in their release notes that they know there is a problem and if someone wants to proper PLEASE do. i.e. they released the ep because they waited 12 hours and no one released it yet so they released because it is better than nothing most all other groups are nuked 2 or 3 times A WEEK. (some 2 or 3 times A NIGHT) FQM tries to find a balance between speed and quality. FQM stands for IIRC F Fucking Q Quality M Man |

this is how i saw it listed today while searching newsgroups [TV NUKETiME] American.Idol.S06E01.Minneapolis.MN.Auditions.HDTV.XviD-FQM [out.of.sync.since.50:29] [702.0MB 50F] and the places i goto usually are pretty accurate. but yes, FQM is rarely messed up. hopefully someone will proper this and maybe do a HR HDTV with the 5.1 audio. im crossing my toes and hopeing |

You had to see it in a newsgroup? Who knows what they did to it. They may have repacked. What scene site(s) nuked it? Now if out of the 11,000+ completes on EZTV a bunch who actually watched the whole thing posted here saying it is out of sync like they do when an ep is REALLY out of sync, i would believe it. No one has. The sample is from 1:03 to 1:04 and looks in sync so i just checked from 50:29 and it seems in sync to the end. What is funny is that 50:29 is NOT at an ad break. It is right in the middle of a section and there are NO DROPS. The odds of it going out of sync there is pretty small. (also nothing is more or less changed sync wise a minute before or after 50:29 ) IIRC Scene rules say it has to be more than 200ms out of sync and even with my tired eyes i can spot 200ms right off. Since it looks in sync to me, it must be at 75ms or better because that is where i start to not being able to tell. YMMV |

Damn. Caught by a loller. LOL. =P =) Anyway, I guess it must have been the production noises, now that I think back on it. If that's the case, then they probably did _not_ use "top notch mics", since good unidirectional microphones would only pick up the singing, and would not require ridiculous amounts of boosting (causing tons of humming). Can't remember noticing anything like that in the earlier seasons. Maybe it's Fox and their sound engineers who need to get propered. =) Long live FQM. |
