BBC - A History of Ancient Britain Series One (2011)

Information
A History of Ancient Britain Series One
A History Of Ancient Britain will turn the spotlight onto the very beginning of Britain’s story.
From the last retreat of the glaciers 12,000 years ago, until the departure of the Roman Empire in
the Fifth Century AD this epic series will reveal how and why these islands and nations of ours
developed as they did and why we have become the people we are today. The first series transmits in
early 2011 and there will be a following series in 2012.

Part 1: Age of Ice
Neil Oliver travels back to ice age Britain as he begins the epic story of how our land and its
people came to be over thousands of years of ancient history. This week sees a struggle for survival
in a brutal world of climate change and environmental catastrophe.

How about a 350MB version? 750MB for something watched once is a waste.

Get an account at thebox.bz or uknova and download their 624x352 @1000Kbps Xvid files. The files
should be small enough for you but both sites are ratio sites so you'll need to seed them back to
maintain your ratio.

There's also a good version of this series on the newsgroups in Xvid 624x352 @1542Kbps by johncymru.
The MVGroup version of the Xvid is 720x416@1642 kbps
The MVGroup version of the 720p is 1280x720@4000Kbps
The BBC iPlayer MP4 small frame files give the smallest filesize 480x272@350Kbps giving 187Mbyte.

(better late than never?)

Message received, thanks for the info.

I'm a veteran P2P'er, so the technical aspects are not new to me, it's just that I just don't bother
downloading as much as I otherwise would if the filesizes were more appropriate for 1 time (not the
police) viewing. Honestly, I'd be happy to watch most things @ 175MB/hour where properly encoded if
that was available, but it seems these days release groups are intent on pushing the filesizes up
and up due the arrival of HDTV and, I guess, the arrival of high-bandwidth ISP connections (for the
few that can get them).

I'll investigate the options you provided there, thanks again.
