Participant Media - Food, Inc (2010)

Information
Food, Inc
Documentary filmmaker Robert Kenner uses reports by FAST FOOD NATION author Eric Schlosser and THE
OMNIVORE'S DILEMMA author Michael Pollan as a springboard to exploring where the food we purchase
really comes from, and what it means for the health of future generations. By exposing the
comfortable relationships between business and government, Kenner gradually shines light on the dark
underbelly of the American food industry. The USDA and FDA are supposed to protect the public, so
why is it that both government regulatory agencies have been complicit in allowing corporations to
put profit ahead of consumer health, the American farmer, worker safety, and even the environment?
As chicken breasts get bigger and tomatoes are genetically engineered not to go bad, 73,000
Americans fall ill from powerful new strains of E. coli every year, obesity levels are skyrocketing,
and adult diabetes has reached epidemic proportions. Perhaps if the general public knew how
corporations use exploited laws and subsidies to create powerful monopolies, the outrage would be
enough to make us think more carefully about the food we put into our bodies.

well the movie is from 2008, so by just watching it u'd b sort of travellin in the past, maybe u'd
realize not much changed since except for corn syrup floods & pseudo -obesity "awareness".... am
gonna watch it too even tho i doubt it will teach me much (being vegan, it's an interesting subject
, i can counsel you "Earthlings", ifFoodinc was a "political thriller" (dunno haven't watched it
yet, but i'm rarelywrong), then "Earthlings" would b .. the texas chainsaw massacre

Great that this is still being uploaded and seen by many!

Anyone thinking this has anything to do with veganism is a dolt. DOWNLOAD THIS DOCUMENTARY! It is
amazing.
I am a meat lover myself, this documentary isn't against meat in any way - it's against the
multibillionaire
corporations that are raping the whole world in the ass and shoving subpar food down our throats
while maintaining the illusion that we have the freedom to choose what we eat. It is a must-see.
And it definitely WON'T turn you vegetarian.
No, on the contrary, it'll probably make you want to pay more money and put down a larger effort on
buying GOOD, high quality meat & food to create an increased demand on farmers to show that we want
quality food, not shite, and to stop funding the whorish, money-hungry corporations in their quest for
world food market domination by tricking and deceiving and using the court of law to crush anyone in
their way, and this we can stop by becoming aware of what we put into our bodies and spending our
money elsewhere.
And how we as a population CAN win against this system, just like we did against the tobacco industry
back in the day.

This is one of the best documentaries I have ever seen, and it changed the way I view on food and the
USA forever (oh damn am I happy for living in Sweden!).
