Catapulted to international prominence by Sergio Leone’s Spaghetti Westerns, Clint Eastwood leapt
from TV lead to world-class movie star. Then with Dirty Harry came super-stardom. But even that was
not enough. Hiss goal was to get behind the camera – to make great films. To achieve this end, he
has produced, directed and starred in such classics as Play Misty for Me, High Plains Drifter, The
Outlaw Josie Wales, Bronco Billy, Honkytonk Man, Pale Rider, Heartbreak Ridge, White Hunter, Black
Heart, and Unforgiven. Meanwhile, Clint continues to explore, to take risks – always seeking to
redefine his image as the loner who, when the chips are down, cares. Including clips from his best
pictures, here is his life as told by Clint himself. Included are recollections of Gene Hackman,
Marsha Mason, Michael Cimino, Forest Whitaker, Genevieve Bujold, Frances Fisher, Jessica Walter and
others.

Directed by : Gene Feldman

Gotta watch that I guess.
But, Play misty for Me is considered a classic?
Really?
I tried to watch it but it was too bad after 20 minutes really.
I can't even remember if I ever gave it a 2nd chance.

"A classic" doesn't mean everybody has to like it... ;-)

Clint Eastwood is a legend, one of the greatest. Entertaining as an actor, redifined as a director of very
interesting movies. We need to watch this, we just have to...

Just so you know, this doco is from...1992 I think, and so being almost twenty years old don't
expect it to cover anything after Unforgiven or so. For those that have the se, this is the same
doco that was on the Dirty Harry 2 disc special edition release from a couple years back.

It's not a bad doco, just as long as you don't expect it to cover any new ground.

Either way, still worth a watch for fans if you haven't seen this one. And if you aren't an Eastwood
fan, then what the hell is wrong with you?

Thanks for info Severen666, I uploaded this at mvgroup but I didn't know that this documentary was
included in that "Dirty Harry"- special DVD edition. I ripped this from old DVD which was a separate
release, and is now unavailable. Possibly there are other interesting Clint- documentaries included
at various boxsets, only one which is available separately as a DVD is "Clint Eastwood - Out of the
Shadows". That isn't very recent either, made back in 2001.
