They are HDTV rips. The scifi channel versions are not.
So these are better quality. Some "crazy" people like better quality.

Sven123, you have a lot to learn on what the differences between the two sources
are.

No one is forcing you to download this.
This is hardly "useless" (one word btw)

Even if you can't see the quality difference, at least these rips from the UK
don't have annoying ads pop up all over the screen like scifi does.

honestly, why are people even complaining?
there is no skin off their backs that someone else exerting all the effort to
release a higher quality for ppl who would prefer it. even if you (and maybe
even i) cannot tell the difference, why cant ppl just appreciate the fact that
the option is there for everyone to dl if someone so inclines to?

lastly, are ppl idiotic and blind? right off the bat i can read the name, the
season, and the episode this file is. and i can comprehend that it is not the
latest release.

for cripes sake, it is not even sunday yet. which is the new release date for BSG.

just can it.

p/s.: if there was no demand for it then no one would supply it.

There was an HR release for the beginning of Season 3 on Skyone
(Battlestar.Galactica.S03E01E02.HR.HDTV.XviD-SFM.avi), but I haven't seen any
since then. To the person who posts these, please continue to post them. Thanks!

I am not done with the download yet so I can not do a full comparison but here
are two screen shots.

Look specifically at the black levels in the right corner and the overall
softness of the entire image.
Night and day and this isnt even a HR release.

There was a news report earlier in the week, it stated that people who watch
TV on the internet were on average better educated than those who don't. Hard
