Revelation of the Pyramids (2010) Information Revelation of the Pyramids Narrated by Brian Cox, Revelation of the Pyramids takes an in-depth look into one of Seven Wonders of the World, the Great Pyramids of Egypt. For centuries, the Great Pyramids have fascinated Mankind; every year brings a batch of new theories, from the plausible to the absolutely bizarre. One lone seeker, after more than thirty-seven years of study and research, has at last managed first to understand and then to prove what lies behind this greatest of archaeological mysteries: a message of paramount importance for all mankind, through time and space. Its key - and its heart - are the Great Pyramids of Egypt. From China to Peru, from Egypt to Mexico, throughout the Middle East - through the world's oldest, most enigmatic and often most beautiful sites - the director has spent six years of investigation, guided by his anonymous informant, verifying his discoveries one by one, and meeting the planet's most eminent scientific and technical specialists. The result will shake the history of mankind as it is taught to its very core, and revolutionize Egyptology entirely. A great odyssey along a breathtaking route rich in staggering imagery, an extraordinary scientific leap and finally a revelation as unexpected as it is spectacular: the message bequeathed to future generations by these mysterious builders. Why do they keep rehashing the same old bullshit about the pyramids? The actual reality that they were built by bronze age men and how they achieved it is much more impressive than this pseudo-scientific crap. |

Yeah it's so silly how people keep rehashing this stuff. It always then ignores all the evidence that they were made by man. Things like, the village where the workers lived, documents about how they were organised. How they were paid and so forth. The clear evolution in design from mud brick mustabas to tone ones, to pyramids. The evidence of trial and error. Specifically, Meidum and the bent pyramid. Ancient history is by far interesting enough, that you don't need to make up crap about it. Personally I think it comes down to, it's easier to make crap up, than to do due diligence and research and study. You know like read one proper book on the subject. Oh and thank god it's narrated by Brian Cox the actor, not the astro-physicist. |

I'ts no picnic for us either you know... we get sick of people who are firmly entrenched in close-minded thought patterns, who are are unable to conceive of evolution LOSING knowledge along its path. - Well,.. you know what? YOU are the one at the alleged pinnacle of civilization, you have an ipod yet i don't remember seeing any of YOUR pyramids - Perhaps you'd like to explain to the rest of the class, the techniques used to create these monsters and the purpose for them, that have eluded egyptologists, archaeologists, architects and historians for, you know... EVER. But no, you're right, from the comfort of your armchair you are able to casually dismiss knowledge that doesnt meet your criteria and with all the confidence of those who 'knew' the earth was flat a while back you hurl yourself into the same thinking as all the rest of the sheep. I can already see the veins in your neck throbbing in rebuttal but i should warn you that i only made this account to berate you, and won't be returning to read your regurgitated automated response. |

The first 20 minutes or so were somewhat interesting, but after that it was hilariously bad. Some of the evidence they showed made absolutely no sense. I wish it had been Brian Cox the astro-physicist, would have loved to hear him stop bout 10 minutes in and burst out laughing |

registered just to say, im with you Superion. armchair assholes that dismiss thousands of years of research and human mysteries are just that - armchair assholes. we're uncovering more and more the fundamental laws of the universe are nothing more than inventions of the human perception; like the multiverse theory, or how our entire universe is nothing more than a hologram on the event horizon of a black hole . we easily dismiss prehistoric man as a bunch of bumbiling bronze bamboozles but could it be even remotely possible the egyptians, who had an organized system of agriculture and worship, who had leisure down to an art -- could it be that the ancients tapped into a fundamental understanding that have been lost to the ages? we know the ancients in india had mnemonics to memorize thousands of sutras word for word, and scholars knew hundreds of sutras, word for word, enough to make a modern day photographic genius cry in shame. the ancients took a lot of secrets with them, and in this analog universe of ours, reducing concepts to binary form has proven again and again to bite modern man in the ass. [edit] ok i finished the whole episode and the for the most part the above commentators are right: total trollfest. however, my point still stands that there are some interesting coincidences that should be further studied and ruins that should be investigated. if only we[america] spent a few trillion a year on science rather than killing brown people for oil |
