Think I'll pass. Just wasn't enough of a hook and some of the scenes looked pretty cheesy even for the CW. |

Not going to bother with this. The boat scene from last weeks episode was just absolutely terrible. Is it so hard in this day and age to have some realistic looking CGI? It doesn't cost anything to hire a friggin boat and just actually film it, but if they are that lazy then they could easily find a special effects house to do some realistic scenes given that such places are a dime a dozen! I'm sorry but in 2011 - CGI should be pretty realistic. They really have no excuse. Don't even get me started on that Falling Skies nonsense! |

I agree that the scene with Gellar on the boat did look terrible and that they should have hired a better CGI guy but if you pay attention they actually did use a boat for other parts of the scene, like when she jumps in. I suspect you'll find that she didnt want to go out to sea for real and so they were forced to use CGI. Yes CGI should look realistic in this day and age but its also not cheap. Programmes with lesser budgets just cant afford it, look at Sanctuary for example, the CGI is even worse in that but it doesnt necessarily spoil the whole programme. |
