Aviation' history is interesting, how it went from an old icarian dream to a "public" transportation mean aswell as a deadly weapon... Airmail in itself is a fascinating thing, from winged feet Hermes (not unlike those old mayas/aztec/incas marathonians, roadrunning messengers) to pigeon posting to "airballoonmail" (we used to do that in skool but with helium not "montgolfieres" :]) , not 2 forget the "almost Pegasus" of Secession war' caballeros immortalizedby K.Costner, themselves preceded by persian Cyrus 2 mounted postmans relaysystem... & ofc letters to UsPS-Santa In America there is also in the 30's an interesting "government vs lobby" type of struggle regarding airmail ... the term "flag-carrier" resumes it alright... Bit digressing, but now that we hav emails & Forums Posts, it's fun to rmbr how it all started (btw funfakt : usa airmail started in 1918 just @ the same time as the french aeropostale So yea i would hav liked better- a show about airmail heroes & time ocean crossers or this lady who was doing aerial acrobaties in quite the literal meaning of the term... a sort of parallax between the human physical & mental' fantastic power and its corruption, from DaVinci drawings to Girkhoff's drones (Nikita's geek I dunno how this series will play, but apparently it's more a cocktail of 60's nostalgia (madmen style) & luv affair / spy intrigue... i guess they need series for the growing demographics (if i was 20/30yo in 1965, i'd b what.. 67/77yo now... mm i'll go stare at an age pyramid Or, to resume my apprehensions, if u start a series about a company, start it at the beginning , not halfway ...ya maylast more seasons |

I actually quite liked it. An interesting plot twist within the first few minutes, too. Will continue to watch to see how it progresses. |

This was very enjoyable, what a casual security checks were in those days (assuming this portrayal is close to the reality of those times) Definitely going for Ep2 |

I remember flying Pan-Am in those days, and "casual" describes very well the "security checks". I don't remember the "glamorous" flights, though :-/ |

Well, maybe compared to today's sometimes awful economy flying experiences it was a glamorous time. I would have killed to be a 1960 era pilot, you get a feeling they were treated and paid very well back then. Plus the ton of women they would have access to! |
