I wonder if they will cover the issue of the world's GREATEST HYPOCRISY? The fact that more people watch porn than have ever watched any single thing on TV or in movies... and then lie about it. How politicians in many parts of the world (but clearly not in others) cater to the biggest hypocrites, and therefore make themselves even bigger hypocrites. If ever there was a reason to be damned for hypocrisy, I think this should be number one in that special circle of Hell. But, yes, if this was released in 1999, they are incredibly out of date by now. I wonder if I'll see any of my old haunts in this, as part of my childhood included growing up in the porn industry capitol of the world -- Now all you need is a $50 camera, a computer, and any place that serves as background... i.e., a McDonald's in Tokyo, a train with a couple of onlookers, a rave five miles out of Moscow, etc. |

People are horny creatures. In the past, having free unlimited sex would've meant having many unwanted children, most of which one couldn't have afforded to feed. Count the number of generations that have had access to some form of reliable birth control, and then compare it to the number of generations that didn't have it. I'm pretty sure my grandmother didn't have access to birth control in her youth. All the thousands of generations before her had to rely on abstinence in order to prevent problems, by which I don't necessarily mean children, but human suffering (famine, STDs). So there's a strong history, and with reason, why sex has been condemned. The prevention of greater human suffering is the reason why the church has preached against the "pleasures of flesh" in the past hundreds of years. It's hard to shake that habit, and we have to forgive the church, the politicians and people for committing this sin of hatred, fear and loathing of human sexuality. There's another reason why we propagate the message of abstinence. I've noticed that it's possible to grow bored of your sexual fetishes, so I see it's basically possible to grow bored of all of them, which is a frightening idea. So that's why it's wise to not enjoy everything at once, and leave something to discover for tomorrow. Besides, when pornography is forbidden, it's more fun to break that restriction... I'm not a religious person, but gods bless the internet. |
