Nope, TV-X264 went to a CRF method a few months ago. It's no longer based on overall size but overall quality factor. The encoder sets a predetermined value to X264.exe and encodes to that, whatever size it comes up with is the size. Most scripted are done at CRF 19. So if an episode doesn't require alot of bitrate due to content, it doesn't get it. Based more on compressibility of the show material. As for the video quality, looks about as good as normal. There's no reason any groups quality would be less as the settings are prebuilt into the x264 and groups cant monkey with them. |

I think it's very odd as well especially because the supernatural official fanpage has written that a new episode is airing tonight which they did last friday too. Very weird ... |
