I'm pretty sure they are trying to make 2012 the worst year for series there has ever been since the
inception of the internet.

There are two user Reviews:
One giving high praise and a rating of 9.0/10
The other a poor review and a rating of 3.0/10, this person looks to be a book snob...they often rate
movies harshly.

I for one tend to thoroughly enjoy most of the UK Masterpeice period movies. I look forward to
watching this.

Personally I found the backdrop for the series more entertaining than the actual story. Then again Im not
big
into dramatic love stories which this seems to be about.

Yes, didn't they do this in Downton Abbey, already?

Wow, the reviews I found (I hate IMDB, they suck for actual information, and most pages I visit actually
have no information other than actor and producer info -- I tend to look at the British newspaper review
pages) centered more on the war aspect than the romance aspect... and all of them said it was a two part
mini-series.
I'll view this first half and see if I could stand the second.
