Inevitably there will be many questions about how to play this video, or how best to play it. Please read the previous thread first, which pretty much serves as a FAQ: h**p://www.eztvefnet.org/index.php?forum=view_thread&tid=1298 |

Link didnt really help. Think it had the correct filename once downloaded , so tried renamin to avi and back , no luck. D-link media player attached to tv doesnt recognise the file. Tried playin on VLC, got the audio but no visual. |

Hey Guys why don´t you create .avi anymore ? .mkv is nice but unfortunately you can only play it back on the computer and not on any other device like Media Gateways :-((( I really like to watch it on my 37" inch LCD instead of a 19" TFT :-/ |

Well imagine there are people who have more than one room and my Computer is not in my living room but 10 m away therefore I bought a Media Gateway. The analog quality of a TV-Out is junk compared to streaming data from pc over ethernet to the TV and letting the MGW do the decoding and displaying. Actually the MGW is in the LCD-TV integrated... It would definetly much better just to pack the Movies in a format which is todays standard instead of using some totally unpopular PC-only format ! If I would know any tool with which I can change the Container to .avi I would do it but unfortunately I could find one working tool yet :-( |

Imagine doing a little research on the video codec before you start saying that this isn't standard. x264-CTU is the new HD video standard codec. HD-DVD/Blu-Ray are encoded in this format. My ATI X1300 video card has hardware acceleration built in for this codec. Just because your outdated, and un-upgradeable media gateway is fail doesn't mean the codec is. Needless to say, with my Mitsubishi 42" RGBHV fed input 1080i/720p videos look phenomenal, I've never seen video off the internet look this good on my tv. It's JUST LIKE watching the highdef broadcast. Keep these releases coming, I appreciate the quality. |

Just love the quality. I converted it to DVD using "convertxtodvd" watched it on my big screen HD lcd rear projection tv and could hardly notice any difference from the original HD broadcast. Keep em coming. There is your answer whiners, use convertxtodvd to convert to dvd & watch on your tv (what's an extra hour & $0.33 for a blank dvd) |

Why would anyone complain about more choice? The 350MB releases are still around. However, those of us who prefer to watch these shows at native resolution appreciate these 720p releases A LOT. as other people have mentioned, previously, the only way to get a hold of 720p releases was to be a member on a private tracker like hdbits, or get them from usenet, which for many people is balls slow. So stop complaining! If you can't appreciate quality, go download the 350MB version. |
