In the wake of the tragic events in Cumbria, gun ownership is once again being debated. In a new
factual one-hour, Current TV and Tim Shaw will explore Britain's relationship with firearms. The
programme will investigate the controversial theories that more guns equals less crime and an armed
society is a safer society - as well as examining attempts to further restrict gun ownership. Tim
Shaw goes on a journey meeting groups on both sides of the debate, travelling all across Britain,
Europe and the USA exploring whether or not we are taking the right approach to firearms in this
country.

Well, before GB decides to allow its citizens to arm themselves, they're going to have to fix their busted,
anti-victim legal system. What's the point of arming yourself and defending yourself with deadly force, if
you're only going to be guaranteed a vacation at the grey bar hotel?

You have absolutely nothing to fear from an armed, law-abiding citizen. You have everything to fear from
even an unarmed person who is willing to break those laws. And, though it's been said a thousand times,
when seconds count, the police are mere minutes away.

No, accidents don't happen, they're caused. That's why someone can still be convicted of involuntary
manslaughter. Improper use, a lack of reasonable care or skill while performing a legal act causing an
accident is the result of one (or more) persons's direct actions, not an act of fate.

As far as I know there haven't been any "acts of god" aka blameless accidents (earth quakes, hurricanes
tsunamis) involving guns. I'm open to the possibility though if you can demonstrate otherwise.

well I guess you also have to take the RISK of the accident into your reseaning.
now, you wouldn't legalize the atomic bomb based on that logic would you?

You clearly have not heard of the Hurricane Gun. Or the Tsunami Gun. Educate yo'self, son.

Seriously, though - I like the way you illustrate 'accidents.' Nicely done!
