could someone briefly explain the episode guide here on EZTV? Are they posting old episodes, perhaps in better definition, or are these new episodes? For example, todays listing is for Season 3 Epidsode 8, which was posted weeks ago. Thx |

Every week now for the last 7 weeks, someone has asked the exact same thing in the threads for these episodes, a tiny bit of research goes a long way. BSG is aired first on satellite or cable in the USA, but neither is in HD, so the best the quality gets is DSR, these rips, as stated in the rip title, is true HDTV, capped from SkyOne in the UK, who is screening them in HD. So yes, better quality. |

I have no idea why, but the rip looked 'really' good this week, it's not that the other HDTV rips so far have been bad, it's just that this one seems so much better in pic quality. The previous rips were suffering from BSG being a really darkly lit show, which is always a problem with DivX/Xvid, and even the season 2 DVD rips I have were the same, actually worse being that DVD is below HDTV in quality to begin with. So I'm not sure if the SFM guys have tweaked some settings, or if maybe SkyOne HD has upped the resolution or something?, but whatever it is I hope it stays this way, because for a 350mb rip, it did look damn good. |
