Not particularly. Depends on what you mean by crushing...? He was pretty normal and they both had fun with the interview. But Jon has a way of asking leading questions. "Isn't it interesting ..." "Isn't that how .. long ramble that totally makes sense"... +++. |

I've seen McCain on many times. It's never been anything like this ep. Not going to write an essay on it, but I doubt McCain left feeling he'd had a good time. |

McCain used to be the cool Republican (in the eyes of the usual Daily Show audience), but in the last 1 or 2 years he has become another talking head parroting the official party line. Daily Show has devoted quite some time showing hilarious contrastive video clips of this sudden reversal, so it was fairly obvious that McCain was entering the wolf's lair. And yes, Jon did destroy him. I don't think a single talking point of McCain's survived.. |

Jon just doesn't let his guests talk. He keeps cutting them off before they can answer the question he just asked. It's very annoying. |

Jon only cuts them off when they repeat the pointless talking points. I can't say I've ever seen him interrupt his guests when they weren't talking bullshit. If the guest is there just to say the same things (s)he has said on the countless other news networks, then what's the point? I for one admire Jon for seeing through the bullshit. |

Jon cutr him off becasue McCain tried to filibuster his way out of difficult questions. Pretty weak. In fact...his whole demeanor seemed "loose" and not very believable. What...is the 70 year old candiate trying to be "hip" with modern political satire? It so did not work. Redspect for McCain going on the show though, even though it really didn't help his "campaign" |
