whays the difference between NBS and CTU realeases as the last Nbs i downloaded

NBS' rls has an ugly green line on the right side. While 720p shouldn't be
cropped/resized, you should use crop/addborders to get rid of these ugly
artifacts that last for a significant amount of the episode

We are looking for east/central cappers with at least 120KB/s upload.

Waste of bw for just a little faint green line that i didn't even notice when
watching the NBS release.

Are the other releases any better than this one? This NBS isn't very good. It's
been smoothed and over post processed. The HR version probably looks better than
this.... It's not exactly "HD", there is next to no detail left.

This NBS isn't very good. It's been smoothed and over post processed. The HR
version probably looks better than this.... It's not exactly "HD", there is
next to no detail left.

When I read this kind of comments , I check by my self both shows
and you ll be suprised to check by your self , download both sample jpg and
open your eyes , you ll see that nbs show is sharper

of course you have the check the ABC logo sionce both frames arnt the same

I have said many times before. NBS releases suck. they use lowest quality
settings x264 and 2 pass each segment on xvid encodes just to get out first.

You are not kidding when you say the HR version is better. avoid their
crap if you can. I sure do.

I watched the CTU then went and looked at the NBS version it is night
and day difference in quality. Picking 1 frame to compare is so silly
when comparing video motion. In fact if you had a clue you would
realize that both xvid and x264 makethe motion great and the general look
better at the expense of singles frames.

the eye can not see that kind of detail during motion so wasting
bits on it is well... a waste. lol

I want to see no blocking and clean fades and smooth pans etc....

i dont see your point. 2 pass is the best and required
no body on the scene does quantizer or single pass junk

heres one
make a search on google for thios program avinaptic

it show all setting used by any group to encod x264 ,
ALL HIDDEN SETTING
then u know who used what setting

I didnt notice anything except that NBS cut out the ending "Lost" splash
screen. It mightnt seem like much but its a dissapointing to see something end
as if the player has crashed.

that is by far enough to get me to download the 1.07gb all over again (i already
did to) that bugged me a lot when they did that for s02 HR's
thats was the most suspenseful part of the show then too.
