recently on the scene 720p has been more of a priority then the HR releases seeing as how the 720p's are pre'ing before the HR's for some popular shows. so the HR will be out later |

\"recently on the scene 720p has been more of a priority then the HR releases seeing as how the 720p\'s are pre\'ing before the HR\'s for some popular shows.\" I see. Maybe I should prioritize on getting a new desktop then |

if i only got those 720p versions working completely right in my Media Center i would not hessitate to download those.. But i have to fake it because it is not an avi container and when i do get something to play the libsync is way way off And i am only interessed in video that do play in the Vista/Windows Media Center.. |

Try Core AVC (Google it). Works fine in XP. Anyway, thanks for this 720p. I love HD |

i tried Core AVC at least the crack i could find (don't blame me now there official website buy/download sections is down) but that doesn't seem to work at all video can't be played at all. But also the CombinedCommunityCodecPack if i install that one then it does play but the audio is way and i mean way out of sync. with this: http://ac3filter.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=285&sid=425a62c25b63e9efccd1d26a8d9badd3 i do see them (don't have to rename to avi) in vista MCE so that works fine now, now only the playing. |

Finally set up my RSS so it would download the HR ready for when I get home, and then its gone! I would love to get the 720p's too, but using Xbox Media Centre, it hasn't got a hope in hell of playing it |

Does the VLC media player not work in Vista? I have never had a problem playing anything with VLC, without downloading any codec-packs or so. |

Thank you for taking the time to do this cap for us all who can't get Heroes. I have all the series so far in (HR HDTV) and hopfully will be able to finish it off in (HR HDTV). This newish format the scene is tending to leen towards dosnt play well on my P.C. My P.C. is only 3 years old now but i wish the format was easyer to play and set up. Its so fussy and my P.C. wouild wrok better if it was a bit faster tho. I find the (AVI) codec plenty good enough and it seems to be able to be played by most P.C.s and some DVD player and XBoxs too. Lets just hope that if (AVI) has had its day that the new codec is easy to setup just like the (DivX/XviD). So Thanks for the show (EZTV). Bye for now (SI)(UK) :-) |

VLC will only work in Vista if you change the video output method. But its a bit CPU intensive when playing these 720p's, so i use Media Player Classic with the CCCP |

its pretty simple why it is microsoft (vista or just xp mce) there is just NO other media center software that can touch the slickness and the ease of use of the microsoft onces. (and i tested a lot of them..) And as i said before i don't mind other playes or other solutions. I only want to play them in in Vista MCE because i almost never see the normal desktop.. Why would i? its a pc that sits besides my hifi with a DVI-HDMI to my sony hdtv. i hope that xvid gets its 2.0 out of the door (i thought that one would also be AVC?) so that it is as easy as it is now with the normal xvids (HR or not) playing it inside the media center |

I can see the point of using MC-edition of vista.. but normal vista.. basic, premium, business whatever? it's no more stable than winxp, nor is it faster, nor is it more resource efficient. ofcourse the themes are really pretty go with the flow, follow the rage, be up to date. btw, don't take me 2 seriously, this is just a matter of argument. |
