is the group planning on releasing the episodes for close to home or will i have
to look elsewhere?

ask them nicely and they will consider it. often with the group it is a matter
of show conflicts where two good shows occur at the same time. sure you could
record both but with limited staff members in the group working to encode the
direct source rip to small downloadable versions for us, our say in the matter
is quite limited. not to mention, the group might not be a fan of the show.
though once they killed off lindsay from angel, i was a bit turned off personally.
