I believe I read somewhere that the last ep would be two hours long. Is that
true or not?
Anyway, thx for the 720p!

It's not. Only 24 was a two-hour long season finale.

Multiple glitches in this version - it pixelates a number of times and totally
hangs at least once. Bit of a waste of 1GB quota.

On Vista with Haali media splitter (I have the VistaCodecs pack installed). Same
problem playing inside Media Centre or in Windows Media Player.

first thing to try is VLC player. If that does not do the tricks get CoreAVC
codecs. Those are the best for H.264.

Are you saying that the file plays fine for you?

I've had around 3 or 4 previous episodes of Heroes in 720p. And those played
without a problem. I've also had an mkv movie containing full bit rate dts
audio, and that played perfectly as well.

-edit-
Just tried in VLC and in Media Player Classic on XP, and it seems to be OK. So
the problem is most likely a codec issue. Even though the problems always occur
at exactly the same points in the file. The worst point was at 23:24 just as
Jessica is about to push open a door - this totally stopped playback and I had
to kill the process.

Tomorrow I'll try some different codecs on my Vista machine - I'd like it to
play properly within Media Centre.

Thanks for the tips, aydin1954.

quod erat demonstrandum... bowing left....bowing right...

if previous files played OK and a new one does not it does not necessarily mean
that something is wrong with the file. Different caps are differently coded in
their innards and good player/codec combinations can deal with different situations.

Moreover Vista is a new beast (not necessarily a better beast) and things need
to catch up with it. Personally I am NOT upgrading from XP at least for another
6 months. Do not see the advantage, only the possible problems.
