I am slightly disappointed by this second season, the 1st is much better. Ecuador is a little better but is far from the high standard set by the 1st season. Bear seems to be rushing things all the time unlike in the 1st season. He needs to show how a survivor can try to reach civilisation as quickly as possible, but also saving energy while doing so rather than constantly taking 'unavoidable' risks and wasting valuable energy. |

that why I like this show. He takes those unavoidable risks to show you how to get yourself out of very bad situations, such as how to save yourself from falling into a crevass. Obviously if he was really lost in the wild he wouldnt put himself in those situations, but he does it to educate the viewer plus its entertaining. |

disappointed? for gods sake, the man drank urine for you bitches! i haven't seen season 1 though, you might be right. even still, season 2 is some good shit. at first i was annoyed by bear always "making up" stats about people getting lost and dying in every which way.. so seeing him drink the piss was rewarding. good show all things considered. |

He urinated on his headscarf to keep cool in the 1st season, Namibia Desert. But this time he took too far though by drinking his own urine, though fascinating to watch from a viewer's perspective!! You need to watch season 1 to see how good it was though compared to this. |

If you really want to watch an amazing real-life story on how a climber saved himself from a deadly fall into a crevass in Peru, then I recommend watching 'Touching the Void', a doc by UK's CH4. Even Bear would find it difficult to match that! Let us know what you think after watching that! |

This show is pretty cool I have to say. The guy does some pretty amazing stuff even though a lot of it is quite ridiculous. And the show isn't about teaching people how to survive in the wild. No one, no one, watches this show so that they know what to do `just in case they get lost in the everglades` or wakeup `at the top of a glacier in iceland` or you know, `just in case you happen to wander off the trail of some gigantic canyon in mexico.` Its about entertainment, and the show accomplishes that nicely. |
