not sure if they are on a torrent yet, but there is DVD rips of the first season
on rapidshare

They are actually pretty cool if you don't have time or for some other reason
don't want to download shows. I'm not saying they are better than this site
(they aren't), but if you don't mind lower quality, streaming video, they come
in quite handy. I watched the whole Eureka season 1 using these sites instead of
spending a night downloading them first. In fact, some of the sites will point
to copies of shows that are hosted on sites like Veoh or Stage6, where the
compression and quality is close to your typical .avi encode. Good stuff. Once
again, I'm not cheerleading for any particular site and I'm definitely not
telling people to use these instead of EZTV...I LOVE this site and I think it's
the highest caliber TV site of it's kind. Just letting people know of an
alternative in case they can't find older shows on here, or on other torrent
sites, for that matter.

dont get the DSR for s01e01, get the pdtv (that h2owe-green linked) or dvdrip
(that theconundrumm linked)
both are way better then the dsr

i usually dl entire season and burn it one dvd,put sometimes episode size is
175-200mb and quality is same as 350mb "almost same" do anybody know how its done??

the different file sizes are due to running length...

175mb = ~20min; 230mb = ~30min; 350mb ~40min; 500-700mb = ~60-90+min

but if you really want to knock the 350mb down, i'd use AutoGK. there may be
better ways tho...

funny that in all the forums i have seen this show mentioned, you are the first
to draw this parallel.

and to paraphrase... there are no new stories, only new ways to tell old ones.

and to me, Eureka was never really about the plots, it's about the characters...
something the Stargates seriously lack...

in short... get over it

This show has turned into a pile of crap.

They have run out of ideas - well I think that became obvious halfway through
the first season.

Characters? Cardboard cutouts... the attempts at humour are on the same level
as the dross that the Stargates put out.

It is now just formulaic drivel.

Almost everybody in it is annoying - could be the last one I dl.

No I am not impressed, either.

Harsh! I really loved this show. I only found out about it recently and watched
all of season one in a week. I loved it. I thought that lead actor is hilarious.
It's not going to win any awards, but for a Sci-Fi comedy series, I thought it
was brilliant. It's quirky and fun.
