DEXTER: Season 2 -Pre-Airs I must confess that I probably do not fit the typical demographic of members of this site. I am a middle-aged (nearing ancient...LOL) disabled man who is addicted to good, quality movies and tv programs. I LOVE horror films like The Grudge, The Ring and that whole genre of film. So basically, my point is that I do not get all "wimpy" during a scary film. Thanks to a recommendation from a member here, I gave season one of Dexter a try and I am hopelessly addicted! It is charming and fun to watch. While watching the season 2 pre-aired shows, which are a thrill to see here, I was sitting back in my easy chair, drinking my coffee and truly enjoying my "guilty pleasure" Dexter in his adventures. As I said, I don't scare easily, but at the end of episode 2 when Dexter was dropping the barbie doll head into the water behind his boat and his brother jumped out and grabbed his arm, I almost jumped out of my chair! I am embarrassed to be caught so off guard, but for me, Dexter seems to have a calming effect when I watch it (which sounds pretty weird in itself considering the subject matter..LOL). So yes...Dexter got me...got me good. I'll go change my drawers now...lmaooo |

Yes the dexter preairs were awesome as was season 1. a great scene was when dexter found out that they had found his body dumping site. Ive also read both books and I have to say the show is by far better. |

yeah I dont really like it, getting a little preachy. and im tired of hearing about "god" coming down to earth. But the show has been leading up to this for quite a while so I dont see how they could have gone in a different direction. |

Im very dissapointed with where the new season of the deadzone is heading. This new season has been total crap with the exception of the space shuttle episode. The "film noir" like ep where johnny saves the woman on the train was just plain boring and very predictable. And wrapping up the armaggedon arc in one episode was just pathetic. |

Ok so I know im harping on this a little, but USA's sunday lineup(namely 4400, and deadzone) has gone to shit with these new seasons, especially deadzone. It seems like they are doing some budget cutting and funneling all the extra money at monk and psych. This recent episode of 4400 where Shawn Faro? got his back all sliced up, the blood fx werent even b-movie grade on top of it being a crap filler ep. And deadzone, well first off, another standalone crap ep. There was a scene where johnny walks behind a woman who is supposed to be "frozen in time" in his vision, and she blinks! how could they not catch that she was basically front and center in the shot and pretty well zoomed in. I did LOL at the patheticness of it. |

Personally, I am glad you, and others do take the time to "harp" on shows..and this particular thread is VERY handy. I have downloaded many series thanks to recommendations of others here. Shows like Dexter, ReGenesis, The Shield and Kyle XY. I was about to grab 4 seasons of The 4400 but the general consensus seems to be that the show has really gone downhill from the second season. I know that you can't judge something on one person's opinion, but when you start seeing the comments repeat and basically agree, it saves a lot of time downloading and watching only to be disappointed later. Sure, I MIGHT miss something good, but the shows I've gotten so far i've really enjoyed (with the exception of Painkiller Jane which I find only mildly passable for something to watch). So keep harping...it makes possible selection easier to choose from. The comments have been especially helpful with the new shows (as the pre-airs have been helpful too). |

I was watching my boys recently, I previously thought it was a chick show, but its really funny. In part because Andy (Jim Gaffigan) is so funny. The best line by andy of the show "What am I a heroin addict!?, I cant sleep in a chair!" ROTFLOL!!  |

well true the last 4400 episode was one of those middle season of sort, save money episode. They have a name .... forgot.... so was not as satisfying as others. It was clear from the beginning to me that it was some sort of virtual reality kind of situation and not the true reality. Also kind of trite as I think I have seen this kind of scenario many times over... like in the Cube movie except that there it was NOT a virtual reality but still people are in there without knowing why, have to work together, etc... but let's hope it picks up as season end nears, 5 more eps if I am not mistaking. |

Just watched the premier of LA INK. Looks like a good show it said she was single so I guess she got divorced. The plans for her tattoo shop looked awesome. By being in hollywood im guessing they will get alot of celebrity clients, so that will be cool. Steve-o is gonna be on the next episode, that guy is hilarious. |

4400s was very good the first season, but now it's just not going anywhere. And the last ep was dull and had no real connection to the plot of the series. Yes it is a ability and it helped people become "friends", but come on! They only helped each other twice, that doesnt mean you are friends. LA INK: Defiantly going to watch that show. She is hot as hell and talented beyond reason. Bam (From Wild Boys and Jackass) had her at his wedding, so he might turn up in the show as well...It has not been uploaded on the site has it? |
