Yep. I definitely have to say that Glenn Close is magnificent in this series. This show is pretty interesting too. I was pleasantly surprised. Movie star turned TV don't usually mix well in my opinion. This is not the case. I hope this show goes the distance. |

I agree that Glenn Close is sensational in this new show and I hope it lasts as well. There was a time that when movie stars went to TV, it usually meant that their careers were on the downside but in the past few years it has become very trendy for top stars to at least make appearances on TV shows. Look at shows like Friends or Will and Grace that routinely had top grossing box office stars. Getting back to Glenn Close tho, she seems amazing in almost everything she does. I love all 6 seasons of The Shield, but for me it really took off in Season 4 with Glenn Close at the helm. Then season 5 and 6 with Forrest Whitaker just took it to another level. I don't think TV is the "kiss of death" to established stars as it once was...which is good for us, the viewer. |
