Just watched this download. Ending is a little abrupt - ends with shot of
Draper's door sign after he walks into his office. Credits probably roll after
that but aren't included. I guess based on length of file nothing is missing?
Please comment if you saw the broadcast. Thanks in advance

The episode did end with that shot of Draper's door, so you didn't miss anything.

i did think they ended that episode rather abruptly. i mean, i got it. they were
trying to reiterate the fact that he changed his name to sorta leave his past
behind him. i guess they could've emphasized that better if it was a longer
shot... idk. the last few episodes seemed... "different." :\\

also, how'd i freakin' KNOW that song was gonna play after that lady put that
quarter in that jukebox (?) (i was born in the eighties, and i didn't even know
when that song came out)!?

h**p://youtube.com/watch?v=dMH0bHeiRNg (second song (not a rick roll)

I love this show so much and find myself really hoping it doesn't get canceled.
Awesome character builds in an awesome setting.

i gave this series a shot by watching the pilot and 2nd ep. i loved the pilot,
but thought the 2nd ep wasn't so good. bad enough, in fact, to stop watching.
should i have continued watching the show? has it gotten better, or is it the
same and i probably wont like it?

Well, it depends. What about the second episode made you stop watching?

mostly i thought the plot stunk. i think the characters are good, i think the
setting is good, but i thought the plot and writing in general were sub par.

yeah, i also thought the ending was a bit abrupt, but now that i read here
that that is the correct ending, it all makes sence the whole "name"
thing, that by changing his name symbolises that he has cut off his past.

i think in the episondes to come, he is going to start talking about his past
to some of the actors. i dont think his going to be able to 'hold it in'.

does anyone know when the season is scheduled to end??

anyway, love the series- hope it doesnt end...

Best Ep yet of the best Show ever.

Hobo Code:

Now we know!

Scubasteve: go back to America's Top Model, or Friends, or something.

You are what is known as a philistine, (i.e. this stuff is wasted on you),
without any doubt.

I agree that the writing is a little weak. It started out good but has lost some
direction since the first few eps. The characters are the best part of it and I
am interested to know more about Draper.
Does anyone else find the incessant smoking annoying? I want to grab the writers
by their collective collars and yell "OK, we get it! A lot of people (apparently
everyone according Mad Men) smoked back then. Yes, even pregnant women (and they
drank too!). Stop clubbing the dead horse (or camel, as it were).
I am afraid that this promising series is turning into a anti-smoking and
anti-drinking campaign.

tjiego:

smoke; drink; stay in the closet; don't employ jews; fuck the boss; and do the
whole office; keep black people in menial jobs; cha cha; twist; learn the hobo
code; get brought up as a 'whore child'; treat women as meat and skivvies;
find out your 'father' is a jerk; change your name; wear a sharp suit; and a
sharp coupe razoir; turn on; drop out; dump your own brother; send hot wifey to
the shrink who wants to bone
her... etc., etc.

Weak writing - not as weak as your perception.

Keep complaining about the smoking.
