It's around 52 minutes and scene rule is if it's longer than 42mts or so that
it's gotta be 700mbs.

For the benefit of those of us who have been wondering these last few hours why
it'll take us twice as long to download and eat up twice as much of any
bandwidth limits we may have, could you please explain the "scene rule" that
doubles the size of the file for an extra ten minutes? It really doesn't seem
to make a lot of sense.

Thanks, by the way. Better twice the size than not at all.

I have tried to download this ep three times and it shows the tracker is down
(timed out) It is showing only 81 seeds and I can't connect to any of them.
Surely there is something wrong as in May when I downloaded this show there
were 10,000 + seeds. Is everyone else experiencing the same thing as me?

Any advice on what I should do?

Enable dht in your client if you haven't done so yet.

What about the Dexter episodes ? Those were 50 mins each but about 400mo for the
HDTV version ...

I've just done a preview of the ep and it's 22'52 mins ... weird ... however
tracker is http://tv.miivi.org:60500/announce

edit : anyway, it's the same tracker as the one stated in mininova for the eztv
torrent so forget what I said (+ I have found a 1.19 mb/s source on IRC so I shd
have it in less than 10 mins ... ).

Release Notes

Proper notes: XORs release includes a commercial from 43:03
to 43:13.

As a note, this episode isnt long enough to warrant 700MB
and looks great at 350.

Doesn't seem worth it to download the proper version just because there's 10
seconds of an ad included if you already have the XOR version.

Interesting considering S01E01 came in at 350mb and was a 53 minute episode.

these scene rules are outdated. I bet hardly no one uses CD's to burn these
anymore, so why are we sticking with 4 year old rules? just pick a bitrate to
agree on and make the size whatever...

incorrect. scene rules are

35-50min = Releases shall not be over 350mb. │
* Episodes further then 50 minutes, will follow the length rules of TXD2K5.


So now we move on to the length rules of TXD2K5
which is based on 23.976 FPS as well as run time.


So you would need about 52+ to go 700.
In this case it is so close is it obvious why FQM did
not list it as a proper reason.

As you can see it was not propered for file size.


Anyway, No one likes to snapped back into reality from a great show like this
to told to buy SOAP. If we wanted commercials we would watch it live.
