Is it me or SNL gets a little bit worse every year? This episode, there were like 5 minuts outta 65 worth watching. |

True, especially the last two seasons weren't that good. I hope they can bring it back this year, but I doubt it. They really should consider replacing the largest part of the cast. |

Yeah, but strangely, the quality of the digital shorts is inversely proportional to the quality of the show. So I will put up with a worse show if there are more digital shorts like tonight...then I can just turn the TV off after it airs. |

I don't think the problem is the cast. the cast has some really talented people right now like Bill Hader (my favorite cast member in a long while), Kristen Wiig, Andy Samberg, Darrell Hammond, Will Forte, etc. the problem is the writing. You could have some of the most talented people in the world on the show, but if the writing isn't strong then it will be lackluster. i'm glad Robert Smigel is still doing TV Funhouse. it remains to be the most consistent part of the show. |

| It's kind of sad that this show is so unfunny, and has been for years now. | |||||

I kind of disagree...I didn´t see this season premiere, and I really thought that the guest "celebrities" stars(not-REALLY-actors, I mean) always sucks! But I have to disagree in the quote "little bit worse every year", because a program like SNL it's made with bad and good moments. I didn´t have a age that let me see the GOLDEN YEARS of them(I´m 19), and I lie in Brazil, that SNL just show the actual programs(with a 3-month- delay..¬¬'...And edited in 45 minutes format) and the dvd-"season complete"- boxes simply don´t exist! Instead, my opinion is based in the last years from the show, that I saw every show since '98, and I have to disagree...Because, if you see the season 30 and 31, there are so much boring than 32's, that have so much things better. I hope that SNL can live strong again, and stop being "living-dead"(from NY, it´s SN!). |

During all of the 25+ years of existence, people have been saying the cast is worse then the cast of the years before... this will never end. So get over it. |

okay The SNL Digital Short was HILARIOUS. Samberg saved this episode. Also i'm really noticing Kristin Wiig as a keeper for the cast, i love her like, Paris Hilton overbearing liar character, she kind of channelled it for her great role in Knocked Up. Also Fred Armisen, Will Forte + Bill Hader (also in Superbad oh jeahh) LeBron james was a complete bore. it was funny for a second to see him acting camp but, eh. Cast that needs to be dropped: Kenan Thompson and that fuckin co-anchor guy.. so forgettable and he's never in ANY sketches. he just gets to deliver the lame-ass one liners in weekend update. oh and how funny was Kanye's improv rapping at the end of his last set? i love kan' but oh my god it was awkward as far as raps go. ALSO High School Musical 3 - brilliant, love Fred + Andy there. |

That's Seth Meyers, and the reason he's usually only in WU is because he is the current head writer, so he often has more important duties than doing impressions. |

Seth Meyers as head writer is what's wrong with SNL. He's not that funny. If it has to be a cast member then perhaps it should be Amy Poehler, or Andy Samberg, or even Fred Armisen. |

IMHO, he's not as bad as Tina Fey. Seth is good at update, the jokes were just really weak. For a season premiere, though, it was pretty weak. Granted, sports stars do not make great hosts; all the sketches are either about Lebron James or about basketball (or both). It was the same with Peyton Manning as well. They really need to cut out all the recurring characters, like Penelope and Lyle Kane, because it seems that it cuts down on original material and the sketches lose all humor quickly. Some cast turnover would be nice as well. Hopefully Seth Rogen will be better next week. The intro was a little scary too. I was scared that Don Pardo had died or been replaced by a drum set. |

Seth Rogan's next week's host? Awesome! I haven't really watched SNL in a long time since it was so unfunny, this one (next weeks) I can't wait for though. |
