What's the most reliable player for the x264 codec? My windows media player
doesn't play all of them despite the right codec....

well i use VLC media player, and has never failed. give it a try , if u havent
already ...

Media Player Classic works like a charm when you have CoreAVC (a must) and
AC3Filter installed.

VLC media play is the king of all media players. it plays ANYTHING! my brother
turned me onto it a while back and ive never looked back. literally it is the
best. anyone whom says different really hasnt used it yet or doesnt know what
they are talkin about. ANYTHING and EVERYTHING.

yes is great but not perfect. On a low power machine does not pull H.264. MPC
and CoreAVC do.

Thats true. I had VLC running x264 on Intel Celeron, and it lags like heck.

CoreAVC + CCCP + Realalt + Quicktimealt + MPC plays ANYTHING and EVERYTHING
perfectly.

This downloaded fine for me, but dropped halfway in, and I can't even scan past the drop point. Anyone
else have this problem?
